My Educational Game Design

https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/453188488 I made an educational virtual piano in order to teach people from all age groups notes on piano. I made 2 modes which can be activated from the buttons called "Start the quiz!" and "Free mode". When you click the quiz mode the notes on the piano disappears and quiz starts. On the right side of the app there is an circle, when you start the quiz random notes start to show up on that circle, in order to be succesful you have to play the right note by using your keyboard. When you play the correct note a tick will appear on the circle for a brief moment, if you play the wrong note a x mark will show up. In the free mode you can just play with piano randomly. There are also buttons for changing the sound of the instrument and adjusting volume. In order to make a working piano I added the music page in scratch, then I draw equal keys and adjusted their positions to create the piano look. I created buttons and writings. Some

Reflection on flipped clasroom approach

In my opinion flipped clasroom plan is a very efficient. This model allows both students and the teacher to save time, get a better grasp on the lesson and have a much more productive in-class time. I think one of the things that should not be overseen while implementing the flipped clasroom approach is the resources and the logistics. The resources are the educational material that is provided by the teacher, videos, online content, etc. These should provided and created carefully to enhance the educational process, and the logistics are the books, electronical devices. These are the students tools to reach to the educational material, and they are a key factor in the flipped clasroom approach. And another important factor in my opinion is the will to learn. The students collabration with the flipped clasroom approach is really important. They should be ready to learn by themselves, if not the flipped clasroom aproach might not be as efficient as it would be. The students should be a

Reflection on FATIH project

As I understood, FATIH is a technology based project which aims to improve the quality of education and effectively use the technology in education area. The project is not obligatory and it consist 5 components. These components are based on improving the technology that are being used, adding new technological components and structures and improving the usage of these technologies by improving the content these structures and components use.     I think usage of a system centralized around a network is efficient, however since the network we are going to use is going to be a very important component of the system we are designing this system must be made carefully and work properly. I think the EBA with its modules generally looks fine, it has a lot of content such as; e-books, videos, audios and other media content, These are the main contents that aim the student so they must be picked carefully, but the variety of the educational content is also important, it lets students to

Reflection on ISTE standards for students

ISTE Standards for students generally aim students to obtain skills which would be helpful for them in their learning process and different ways of bettering themselves in the digital world. Being an empowered learner and computational thinker helps the student understand the education process and design it in a way that would most benefit them, being a knowledge constructor and innovative designer allows the student to process the raw knowledge and create well planned systems, they also become able to solve the problems that come with data gathering and knowledge building, being a digital citizen means that the students understand the reality of the digital world and act according to the existing ethical and legal rules, they know their rights and act upon them and lastly being a creative communicator and global collabrator means that the student knows the people and communities on the digital world are also real and they know ways of positively collabrating with the other users and c

Reflection on 2020 Horizon Report

As far as i understood the horizon report does really fits its name, the word “horizon” isn’t just there to be look good. This report anlyzes data and comes up possible future outcomes in the education area, but as said in the introduction these prejectories are not always on point and hundred percent accurate. Writers of the horizon report know the challenges of trying to predict the future trends and they also know that even though the predictions could be wrong they still must be made. I have read the social, technological, economic, higher education and the political trends, and will be reflecting upon them.   Horizon report examines 5 trends which are well explained in the report. I believe that we can use these 5 main consepts to explain most of the modern human made social constructs, therefore these trends are really helpful to inspect an important consept like education. Also the horizon report examines emerging technologies and practices, while doing it panelists came w

Reflection on Teacher Educator Technology Competencies

Reflection on ISTE standards for educators

Firstly in the empowered professional segment ISTE standards point out that the educator should have a great communication with themselves, the students and the technology they use. In the sense of communicating with themselves they should continously seek out for new knowledges, pedagogical approaches and ways to improve their teaching methods and use of educational technologies. Secondly in order to communicate better with students they should be able identify needs of the students and find ways to satisfy their needs, while doing this the teacher should be ready for the diverse needs of every student. Lastly in this segment the teacher should be competent in the technologies they use and inspire others to use the technology in a productive and safe way.   In the second segment ISTE standards are more technical. Firstly this segment points out that the educator should be able to Collabrate with others by; using the time more efficiently, usage of digital resources and by demonst

Reflection on analysis of the terminology used in the field of virtual learning

Main topic of the paper that I am going to reflect upon is analysis of the terminology used in the field of virtual learning. Writer of this paper Alla Anohina analyzes simple consepts about both technology and education in an illustrative way and allows the reader to create a solid view about virtual learning on their mind. And also explains the differences between the types of virtual learning, mainly according to their terminology. After reading this paper I gained a more concrete view on virtual learning. Also I believe that I am now able to call the differences between the methods of virtual learning types and explain them in a broader way according to the terminology used.   One of the Important issues that occur while explaining the virtual learning and its variety of methods is that the word education usually makes people think of a school and a teacher, but as the writer says, with the improving technology neither school or teacher are going to be indispensable. But I th
